RX – STYLE RING JOINT GASKETS

Style RX is a pressure-energized adaptation of the standard Style R gasket. The RX is designed to fit the same groove design as a standard Style R, making the joints interchangeable. The modified design uses a pressure-energized effect that improves the efficiency of the seal as the internal pressure of the system increases.

  (A plus tolerance of 0.008 inches for width and height is permitted, provided the variation in width or height does not exceed 0.004 inches throughout its entire circumference)
•  OD of Ring ……………………………………..±0.020,-0.000
•  Angle of 23°……………………………………..±1/2°

Hole diameter shall be as follows:

•  RX82 through RX85………………………….0.06”
•  RX86 and RX87………………………………..0.09”
•  Rings RX88 through RX91………………….0.12”

NOTE: Only Rings RX82 through RX91 have a pressure passage hole through the cross section. Center line of hole is located on the mid-point of the width flat.
